The Water Carrier Series

The Water Carrier Series

To be directly involved on the ground in places like Zimbabwe, Zambia and South Africa to shed light and spread awareness about the area's humanitarian crises and offer hands-on, practical improvements to infrastructure, housing and family services.

Our first step is the Water Carrier Series. According to the World Health Organization, 1 in 3 people struggle to find clean water in Africa. The scarcity leads to an increased risk of contracting diarrheal diseases, which is one of the leading causes of death on the continent. Therefore, people rely on wells and boreholes to survive. But there aren't enough to serve people living far from urban centers.

We want to help change that, but we need your help!

We're asking for your donations to help us build wells and boreholes in Zimbabwe, where roughly a quarter of the population lives without access to clean drinking water

In a largely rural country where millions live in extreme poverty, life without running water has become a painful, and often deadly, reality.

There's no such thing as safe tap water in Zimbabwe. In rural Chitungwiza, Goromonzi and Seke, many people have to wake up as early as 4 a.m. and walk as long as five miles to get their water resources. However, almost all of the available wells are overused and pump out dirty water because of the overwhelming demand.

Only once you have carried your own water will you learn the value of every drop
